"No you aren't. You are smart. He was a fool. You are kind while he was edgy. You are mortal he was a vampire. The most beautiful of vampires too. Such a waste of beauty he had Hayato. His lover for life and eternity more. Gave it up he did. You are Kame. He is Ryu. 
 

Kame his innerself boil at Ryu's praising.He did not want to hear how the other bettered to him even more than he has already seen and heard. And at hearing Hayato's name knowing who that really was, well, didn't make him calm down at all.


"I suspect you know then. About Hayato and Ryu? Their past? Who Hayato is. Who Ryu is."


Kame could only nod, "Hayato is Jin. Am I right? And somewhere out there Ryu is looking for Jin right? To reunite with him."

A smirked appeared on Ueda's face. So Kame didn't know who Ryu was. Well this would just make things easier and more fun.

"Yes they will reunite and they will love each other forever. Never once leaving each other's side." Ueda watched from the corner of his eye as Kame's body began to shake and tremble.

"But you know it doesn't have to be that way." Ueda stated gently and smiled when he felt Kame quickly turn around.

"What do you mean by that?" Kame questioned confused.

Ueda shrugged and began to walk away.

"Ueda please!" Kame exclaimed desperately, "I need to know what you mean...."

Ueda let a dark smile form on his lips but hid it as he faced Kame instead giving him a sad look.

"Don't tell me you don't know my dear Kamenashi. "

Kame's head danced with confusion and his eyes darted from random things back to Ueda.

Ueda faked a sigh and leaned gracefully on a tree petting a leaf gently with his fingers.

"I know how you feel for Jin, Kame." Ueda stated flatly

Kame eyes widen and his jaw dropped alittle, "You do? But how? I didn't want to...I didn't show..."

Ueda laughed as if Kame had just told the funniest thing he had ever heard of in his life.

"Yeah you did." He stated simple once he calmed down.

"Just the way you look when you are with him, you don't need to be a vampire to see inside people's hearts."

Kame felt his face flush thanking that it was to dark for anyone to see.

"I mean all you have to do is prove it to Jin how much he means to you and 'you' can be Ryu." Ueda said going back to admireing the leaves.

"But how do I do that? I mean I already kissed him, what more should I do. He doesn't want my body.."

"No my dear, " Ueda raised a hand and shook his head, "It's going to take more that sexual temptation to win a vampire's heart. No, you have to prove your loyalty. " Ueda took a step toward Kame, "And that is why it is you, that has to place the objects into the pillar. Because otherwise face it....." Ueda gently stroke Kame cheek with his cold hand, "It was never going to be you."

Kame backed away taking in all that was told to him. He understood. He needed to do this now. There was no turning back.

"Will Jin love me if I do this for sure." Kame asked quietly.

Ueda gave his a sad but simple smile, "He will die for you."

Kame nodded and walked away heading back for his home where he would start to think of where the pillar to his future may lie.

Ueda let out a laugh once Kamenashi was out of his view, letting out his hand to catch his pet who sang mocked his laugh.

"Yes, my pet. Die for him indeed he will. Come let us go home. "

With that said they both walked into the darkness.
