(I made you guys wait for a long time, so no bull hockey:) straight to the story. I hope you all like.







"What the HELL were you thinking?!"

Jin rolled his eyes and sighed. This was the sixth time he heard this sentence and counting. He was sure he was going to hear it again.

Koki paced around the living while running his hand on his head. He was nervous as far as Jin could see.

"I mean do you know what could have happened Jin?" Koki stopped to stare directly into Jin's eyes.

"You could have been exiled or WORSE!"

Jin moved to place his hand under his chin and leaned against his couch. This was going to be a long night. When you worried Koki there was no telling how long he would be willing to keep you company just to lecture you on what you did.

"Do you know how worried I was when master’s stupid ass bird appeared and told me what had happened? AND THEN come home to find you gone!!!!" Koki was literally jumping up and down with anxiety.

"Listen Koki I know I worried you and I am REALLY SORRY." Jin laid the last words with a heavy coat of sarcasm.

Koki finally relaxed some and took a seat on the chair opposite of Jin.

"Don't be a bitch with me, Jin. What you did was really idiotic, going against the master's orders. That in itself is just unheard of, but then.... you being you, go and tell him right to his face that you refuse." Koki shook his head before burying it in his hands.

It wasn't till then that Jin felt guilt in him. He did not realize that he was causing so much worry to his friend, nor did he mean it.

"Koki I know it is hard for you to understand, the way you and I grew up is totally different from each other. But you have to believe me when I tell you that what I did and what I am planning to do will somehow benefit all of us in the end." Jin cast his gaze downward because he knew the truth.

If Jin does what he intends to do then it won't mean good for anyone but Kame. His clan, his people, was all counting on Jin to do his job right. It is what the have been waiting for, for generations. And yet here he is about to cast his people into eternal darkness for centuries more.

"It's all worth it." Jin thought, " just to have him alive and living. No matter what happens to me, it's all worth it."

"Jin I don't mean to get in the way of what you are planning to do, but you must know. I have no desire to help you in any way."

Jin looked up to stare into Koki's eyes. They were hard with seriousness.

Jin nodded though, " I understand. Does this mean that you are going to move back home?" Jin questioned.

Koki smiled," Of coarse not, I just want you to know that when the time comes, if it comes. That I most likely will not be on your side."

A wave of relief hit Jin; he had hoped that Koki would reject going home. It's no fun being alone.

Kame could not restrain himself from yelling from happiness into his pillow. No amount of words could describe the way he felt. Finally HE was the initiator and not the other way around.

Suddenly a wave of sadness hit Kame as he thought about Ryu again. Somewhere out there he was waiting for Hayato to come for him. He was waiting for him to come so they could reunite and be in love.

Kame sighed and sat up in his bed with his back toward the headboard. He knew what he wanted. He wanted the same thing as Ryu. He wanted Jin.

“Whether Jin knows or not. I will never tell him.” Kame thought scornfully.

“I don’t want to lose him, I need him.” Kame thought sadness overwhelming him into sleep.
